This October marks a milestone for Longview Cable TV, now known to customers as Cablelynx Broadband. For 60 years, our company has proudly served the Longview community, growing alongside the city and adapting to meet the changing ways people connect, learn, and entertain themselves.

Longview Cable TV was founded in 1965 with a simple mission: bring clear, reliable television service to East Texas homes. What began with a few Dallas area TV channels delivered over coaxial cable has transformed over the decades into a robust broadband network serving thousands of households and businesses.

In 2001, we introduced Cablelynx, making Longview one of the first communities in the region to experience high-speed internet over cable. From dial-up replacements in the early days to today’s gigabit broadband, Cablelynx has consistently invested in new technology to keep East Texans connected.

Today, Cablelynx Broadband uses a fiber-powered network to provide internet speeds up to 1 Gig, with unlimited data and whole-home Wi-Fi—ensuring families, students, and businesses have the connectivity they need to thrive. And while our name and technology have evolved, our commitment to customer service and local community partnership has never changed.

We are proud to celebrate 60 years of service in Longview, and we invite our neighbors and friends to join us at a special ribbon cutting ceremony on October 30th. Thank you, Longview, for allowing us to be your hometown connection for six decades—and for many more to come.
