EAST TEXAS FOOD BANK
The East Texas Food Bank exists to fight hunger and feed hope in East Texas. Established in 1988, ETFB is the largest hunger-relief nonprofit in East Texas covering 26 counties. ETFB works to:
FEED children, families, and seniors through 200+ partner agencies and feeding programs.
STRENGTHEN families through nutrition education and benefits assistance programs.
LEAD the community in hunger-relief work by engaging and mobilizing East Texans in the fight against hunger.
Increasing food security in East Texas is crucial as more individuals find themselves in need due to a constantly changing world. Economic fluctuations, job instability, and unexpected life events can suddenly push families into food insecurity. Ensuring access to nutritious food not only supports the immediate health and well-being of individuals but also strengthens the community as a whole. By addressing food insecurity, we can reduce the long-term effects of hunger, support children's development, and foster a more resilient and thriving region. You can make a lasting impact for the more than 200,000 East Texas neighbors facing hunger today by partnering with ETFB in a number of ways.
